Career Focus Program

Looking for a job can be a daunting task; however, you're not alone when it comes to finding employment.  The staff at the Airman and Family Readiness Center is here to help you open doors of opportunity! Our goal is to ensure you have the information needed to improve the effectiveness of your job search.  From learning how to conduct yourself during an interview to preparing a cover letter, we'll guide you through the process.  In addition to classes, you can schedule a personal consultation with one of our experts to assist you personally!

 

Email Distribution List: Leave us your email so we can send you a list of employment opportunities available in Okinawa. You no longer need to search for hours to find job openings!

 

Career Classes:  Classes include instruction in the assessment of skills and accomplishments,  time management and goal setting, career options, finding your dream job, utilizing head-hunter programs, developing a portfolio, writing resumes and cover letters, and learning to interview effectively.

 

Resume Assistance: Ever wonder why you aren't getting referred for the job you want so badly? It could be that your resume needs to be reviewed by professionals who know how to showcase your skills.

 

Interviewing Skills:  Most employers assess a candidate's value within the first 30 seconds of an interview. We can teach you how to make those 30 seconds the key to opening employment opportunities you may have only dreamed about.

 

Personal Assistance:  We know the job hunt can be stressful and confusing. When you're ready to look for work, stop by and work with our staff. We can help you locate job opportunities and assist you with completing your application and resume.

 

Resume and Application Review
Transitioning military members and their spouses may bring in resumes and Federal applications for review by a trained consultant.  When customers bring in their applications or resumes, an individual appointment is scheduled to discuss the document in depth; which gives the consultants an opportunity to thoroughly review the document and research additional resources that might enhance it.
