3-Day Lunch Time Japanese Lesson. A short introductory Japanese class. Learn some basic phrases and useful expressions.
Japanese Language Basic Step 1, 2, & 3
(4 weeks/8 sessions)
An integrated study of the fundamentals of Japanese with emphasis on listening
comprehension and speaking skills. The relationship of culture and customs to language use and development, as well as instruction and information on
Japanese and Okinawan customs and cultures, also are highlighted as an
integral part of the class. Class registration is free, but students will be
required to purchase a text book.

Kimono (Yukata) Wearing
This special session discusses the differences of Kimono and provides tips and
techniques on how to purchase and care for the Japanese Kimono. The seminar includes a demonstration of the proper techniques for donning and wearing the
Kimono.
Washi Paper Crafts
The Japanese use colorful bits and pieces of Japanese paper (Washi) to turn
many items into household decorations. All materials are provided.
Sanshin Class
Sanshin is an Okinawan traditional instrument. It is a banjo like
three-stringed instrument commonly used to play Okinawan music. The music can
range from soft and gentle to highly energetic and fun. No musical
experience
necessary.
