This ceremony is held once a year in April, during the National Volunteer Week. This is an opportunity
for the community to acknowledge and thank volunteers for their outstanding commitment to improve our community. The Annual Volunteer Recognition Ceremony has 7 different Angel Awards
presented, along with the Volunteer Excellence Award and the pinning of Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal (MOVSM) recipients.
Please, take the time to thank your volunteers and know our community couldn't be as wonderful as it is without them.
For more information on how to nominate someone for an award, please contact the A&FRC.
Job Experience Training (JET) The Job Experience and
Training Program (JET) is a 12 week program in which the volunteer works
closely with a participating organization 20 hours per week until they
acquire 240 hours of supervised training. Upon completion of this
requirement the volunteer receives a Certificate of Training and letter
of recommendation. Childcare is available for JET participants.
Traditional Volunteer If you just have some extra time and
would like to volunteer to help your community, contact the A&FRC for
assistance. We work with all base agencies available and can point you
to many great volunteer opportunities.
