Are We There Yet?
By Alison Lester
Experience Australia through eight-year-old Grace’s eyes. Traveling in an old camper trailer with her mom, dad, and brothers, Grace takes the reader with her on a six-month trip Down Under. Over the course of her journey, Grace is lucky enough to see whales, quokkas, a dolphin, a Thorny devil, penguins, sheep, and an elephant that eats her hat. The family also experiences amazing natural wonders, like the Twelve Apostles, a rainforest, Uluru, the red domes of Kata Tjuta, and astounding rock art in Kakadu. Young readers who love the idea of exotic locations and animals will be thrilled to join Grace’s journey of exploration. Lester’s drawings are colorful, cheerful, and plentiful. Every detail of Australia is illustrated, bringing the journey alive.
