Attention: Privately Owned Jet Ski and Watercraft Patrons
1. In order for you to launch, moor or store personally
owned watercraft while staying on Okuma certain on site safety
rules apply:
A. Privately owned jet skis and watercraft must be launched
from Hentona harbor 5 Minutes north of Okuma. (For directions
please see the Boat House staff)
*This does not include personal Kayak’s, they can be
launched anywhere outside the Okuma waterfront operations
areas.
B. All watercraft owners need to insure they can provide
proof of the following Japanese Maritime Certificates when
operating personally owned watercraft outside Okuma waterfront
operations areas:
*Japanese Vessel Specific License for owner / operator
*Current JCI
*Proof of Insurance
C. Restricted Areas: Within 50 yards of any of the following
operations areas
- Okuma Jet Ski flagged areas in the front of North and
South Beach.
- Identified swimming areas.
- Canoe, Kayaks, Aqua Trike and snorkeling
areas encompassing all area’s directly in front
of North and South Beach and wrapping around the peninsula
from Singles Beach to Staff Beach.
- Primary Water Skiing, Wakeboard, Banana Boat lanes for
customer use.
D. Privately owned watercraft use must be confined to OPEN
OCEAN ONLY, again 50 yards away from the Okuma recreation
facility and operations areas.
E. If mooring your privately owned craft, please do so 50
yards away from Okuma’s operations area. On South Beach
this would be to the left of the swimming area, or North
Beach this would be to the right of the swimming area.
F. No personal Watercraft are allowed within Okuma operational
areas, there are no exceptions to insure the safety of all
Okuma JSRF patrons.
G. Failure to adhere to these basic guidelines will result
in your removal from Okuma.
H. Watercraft owners will be held liable for any damage that
may be incurred in the event of an accident.
